Dear Howley families,

I simply couldn't let this week come to an end without letting you know just how fantastic your children have been. It has been such a super start to this academic year. The buzz and enthusiasm around school is totally infectious and joy to hear, see and feel. We have had to congratulate every single child in our achievement assembly this afternoon as it was impossible to choose just one or two!

I do have some bittersweet news for you. Next Friday, our fabulous Mrs Willcocks will be leaving us for pastures new. I cannot stress what a loss this is for our team. I am sure you will agree that there aren't many lives Mrs Willcocks has not touched with the care and compassion she has shown our children over the last 21 years. In truth, it is not just the lives of our children she has touched but our staff and families too. We are so very sorry to see her go, but do feel somewhat consoled by the fact that in her new role she will be helping to train teaching assistants of the future. I simply cannot think of anyone better to do so. I know you will join me in wishing Mrs Willcocks all the very best in her next adventure.

Thank you all for helping us to make such a positive start to this year.

Wishing everyone a lovely and at least slightly cooler weekend!

Best wishes,

Miss Lewis
