Dear Howley families,
We have had a super couple of weeks, the highlight being last Thursday’s World Book Day. There were costumes, clues and most importantly books galore! As an avid reader, I truly believe that stories open up so many different worlds to our children. It was a joy to see them reading to themselves, each other and the adults in school. My favourite moment of the day is always when the older children visit our younger classes. It really is so heart-warming to see them sharing their stories with each other.
Thank you to everyone involved with our rainbow mufti day. The children looked fantastic and I must say the hampers are proving to be a real temptation just outside my office! The PTA have done a brilliant job once again, and with your support, much needed funds will be raised for our school.
Despite seeing a smattering of snow earlier in the week, I think we have a little bit of sunshine to look forward to and wish you all a lovely weekend.
Best wishes,
Miss Lewis

On Friday 21st March, we will be celebrating Red Nose day and collecting any donations in school to pass on to this fantastic charity. This year, our fancy-dress theme is 'Whatever makes us happy', sharing the joy all day long, as it's true that ‘anything-goes-when-you-wear-a-red-nose’. Children are encouraged to dress up red-to-toe so pop on those scarlet socks, don a full-on lobster suit, or just wear what you want in return for a donation! How far you take it is up to you.
