Curriculum by Year

At our school, attendance is essential for pupils to gain the full benefit of their education, including their academic achievement, wellbeing, social development and wider life opportunities. We believe that being in school, learning alongside teachers and peers, provides the best possible educational experience.

Remote education is not considered an equal alternative to attending school and will only be considered in extremely rare circumstances. It will be used as a last resort, and only when it has been established that a pupil is unable to attend school and the alternative would be that they receive no education at all.

Where remote education is provided, our aim is to help pupils remain connected to their learning, teachers and classmates, enabling them to keep up with their education until they are able to return to school. Wherever possible, pupils will be expected to attend school in person, as regular attendance is vital to their success and wellbeing.
